In Saturday's non-league test, the Wilbur Cross Governors (New Haven, CT) lacrosse team overwhelmed the host Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT), by a count of 14-2.
Next up, the Governors battle the Branford Hornets (Branford, CT) in a Southern Connecticut test, on Tuesday, May 13. Wilbur Cross will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Hornets enter the test with a 7-6 record after their 15-2 league loss to Foran (Milford, CT).
The Spartans (0-8) will now prepare for their test against Tolland (Tolland, CT). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Tolland was overwhelmed by Berlin (Berlin, CT), 8-4, in a league test.
