The Andrew Thunderbolts softball team scored 4 runs and held the host Downers Grove South Mustangs to 0 in the Thunderbolts non-league win on Saturday.

The Thunderbolts now possess a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lincoln-Way Central for a SouthWest Suburban battle on Monday, May 12. Andrew will confront a Knights team coming off a 9-0 league win over Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Knights record now stands at 22-1.

With the loss, Downers Grove South moves to 10-11 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Leyden (Franklin Park, IL) to confront the Eagles in a West Suburban - Gold battle on Monday, May 12. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 9-13. Leyden lost 9-1 in their recent non-league battle against Huntley (Huntley, IL)
