Illinois High School Softball - Arcola edges Hutsonville/Palestine

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL) and the host Hutsonville/Palestine Tigers (Palestine, IL), observed Arcola's softball team get by Hutsonville/Palestine by a tally of 7-5.

The Purple Riders (10-11) will now prepare for their bout against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL). The Bombers go into the Lincoln Prairie bout with a 13-11 record. In their last bout, Argenta-Oreana tipped Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL), 16-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 10. Hutsonville/Palestine will attempt to advance on its 13-7 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 12-0 non-league win over Dugger Union (Dugger, IN).
