In Saturday's non-league test, the Buffalo Grove Bison (Buffalo Grove, IL) softball squad got by the host Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL), by a tally of 6-5.

Next, the Bison clash with the Prospect Knights (Mt. Prospect, IL) in a Mid-Suburban East test, on Monday, May 12. Buffalo Grove will attempt to advance on its 10-11 season record. The Knights go into the test with a 19-7 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Lake Park (Roselle, IL).

The Cougars (8-19) will now prepare for their test against Highland Park (Highland Park, IL). The Giants go into the non-league test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Highland Park held off Zion-Benton (Zion, IL), 5-1, in a non-league test.
