The Casey-Westfield Warriors overwhelmed the visiting Mater Dei Knights softball squad by a count of 9-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors meet the Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) in a Little Illini challenge, on Monday, May 12. Casey-Westfield will attempt to upgrade on its 26-3 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 20-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL).
The Knights (9-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Freeburg (Freeburg, IL). The Midgets go into the non-league challenge with a 12-9 record. In their last challenge, Freeburg toppled Roxana (Roxana, IL), 18-1, in a league challenge.
