The Middletown North Lions overwhelmed the host Central Regional Golden Eagles softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions meet the Middletown South Eagles (Middletown, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 10. Middletown North will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Red Bank Regional (Little Silver, NJ).
The Golden Eagles (8-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Barringer (Newark, NJ). The Blue Bears go into the non-league challenge with a 9-1 record.
