The Westville Tigers softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs to 7 in the Tigers non-league win on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 25-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chrisman for a Vermilion Valley battle on Monday, May 12. Westville will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 14-4 league loss to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-10.

With the loss, Deer Creek-Mackinaw moves to 13-10 on the season. The Chiefs travel to El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL) to confront the Titans in a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 13. The Titans come into the battle with a record of 4-18. El Paso-Gridley lost 7-0 in their recent non-league battle against Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL)
