The Kankakee Valley Kougars edged the host Delphi Community Oracles softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Kougars play the Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 12. Kankakee Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 18-2 record after their 6-5 non-league win over Penn (Mishawaka, IN).
The Oracles (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against West Lafayette (West Lafayette, IN). The Red Devils enter the non-league challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, West Lafayette was nudged by Harrison (West Lafayette, IN), 7-0, in a non-league challenge.
