In Saturday's non-league match, the host Harvard Hornets softball team scored a tight 7-5 victory over the Dundee-Crown Chargers.
The Hornets (12-9) will now prepare for their match against Plano (Plano, IL). The Reapers go into the Kishwaukee River match with a 6-17 record. In their last match, Plano by Newark (Newark, IL), 8-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Chargers battle the Hampshire Whip-Purs (Hampshire, IL) in a Fox Valley match, on Monday, May 12. Dundee-Crown will attempt to better on its 8-18 season record. The Whip-Purs go into the match with a 18-9 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Maine West (Des Plaines, IL).
