Indiana High School Softball - Franklin County held off by New Castle

May 10, 2025: New Castle, IN 47362

In Saturday's non-league test, the New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) softball squad got by the visiting Franklin County Wildcats (Brookville, IN), by a count of 2-1.

Next, the Trojans meet the New Palestine Dragons (New Palestine, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage test, on Monday, May 12. New Castle will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Dragons go into the test with a 18-1 record after their 12-1 non-league win over Columbus North (Columbus, IN).

The Wildcats (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN). The Tigers go into the Eastern Indiana test with a 8-6 record. In their last test, Lawrenceburg was nudged by Greensburg (Greensburg, IN), 2-0, in a league test.
