Michigan High School Softball - Midland sneaks past Franklin

In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Midland Chemics softball squad scored a close 4-3 triumph over the Franklin Patriots.
With the triumph, Midland improves its record to 8-6 on the year. The Chemics host Heritage (Saginaw, MI) to face the Hawks in a Saginaw Valley contest on Monday, May 12. The Hawks enter the contest with a record of 6-6. Heritage won 19-0 in their recent league contest against Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI)
The Patriots now hold a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to South Lyon for a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. Franklin will face a Lions squad coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Stevenson (Livonia, MI). The Lions record now stands at 14-7.
