The Middletown South Eagles overwhelmed the host Pinelands Regional Wildcats softball squad by a count of 5-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles meet the Middletown North Lions (Middletown, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 10. Middletown South will attempt to upgrade on its 13-3 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ).
The Wildcats (14-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Monmouth Regional (Tinton Falls, NJ). The Falcons go into the non-league challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Monmouth Regional was routed by Jackson Memorial (Jackson Township, NJ), 4-1, in a non-league challenge.
