The Morton Potters triumphed over the visiting Prairie Central Hawks softball squad by a count of 13-5 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Potters play the LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 10. Morton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-19 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 25-4 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL).
The Hawks (14-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Normal University (Normal, IL). The Pioneers enter the non-league challenge with a 10-15 record. In their last challenge, Normal University was routed by Normal Community (Normal, IL), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
