Indiana High School Softball - Pike Central can't get by Mt. Vernon

The Mt. Vernon Wildcats edged the visiting Pike Central Chargers softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Saturday's league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IN) in a Pocket challenge, on Tuesday, May 13. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 3-12 record after their 10-0 league loss to Tecumseh (Lynnville, IN).

The Chargers (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against North Posey (Poseyville, IN). The Vikings enter the Pocket challenge with a 14-4 record. In their last challenge, North Posey edged Jasper (Jasper, IN), 14-8, in a non-league challenge.
