The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) and the visiting Pinckneyville Panthers (Pinckneyville, IL), observed St. Joseph-Ogden's softball team get by Pinckneyville by a tally of 6-2.
The Spartans (20-11) will now prepare for their bout against Tuscola (Tuscola, IL). The Warriors go into the non-league bout with a 14-9 record. In their last bout, Tuscola tipped Hamilton County (McLeansboro, IL), 16-2, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Okawville Rockets (Okawville, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 12. Pinckneyville will attempt to advance on its 18-5 season record.
