The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Portland Christian Eagles (Louisville, KY) and the host Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), observed Portland Christian's softball team get by Powell County by a tally of 5-3.
The Eagles (21-11) will now prepare for their bout against North Hardin Christian (Radcliff, KY). The Falcons go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record.
In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 12. Powell County will attempt to advance on its 11-12 season record.
