The Columbia Eagles baseball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds to 6 in the Eagles non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Eagles (18-6) will now prepare for their match against Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL). The Indians go into the non-league match with a 19-6 record. In their last match, Mascoutah edged Belleville East (Belleville, IL), 10-0, in a non-league match.
The Piasa Birds (17-11) will now prepare for their match against Greenville (Greenville, IL). The Comets go into the South Central match with a 15-11 record. In their last match, Greenville edged Litchfield (Litchfield, IL), 7-1, in a non-league match.
