In Wednesday's non-league test, the host Briarcliff Bears lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-7 victory over the Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders.
The Bears now have a 9-4 record.
Next, the Crusaders encounter the Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 12. Archbishop Stepinac will attempt to better on its 9-6 season record. The Nighthawks go into the game with a 4-8 record after their 14-11 league loss to Pomperaug (Southbury, CT).
