Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Knights now own a 15-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Andrew for a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Thursday, May 12. Lincoln-Way Central will face a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 9-7.
With the loss, Beecher falls to 19-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Momence (Momence, IL) to face the Momence Athletics in a River Valley challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Momence Athletics enter the challenge with a record of 9-6.
