In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Bloom Blazing Trojan (Chicago Heights, IL) softball team held off the visiting Thornton Fractional South TBA (Lansing, IL), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, Bloom moves its record to 14-5 on the year. The Blazing Trojan travel to Thornwood (South Holland, IL) to play the Thunderbirds in a SICA - South contest on Thursday, May 12. The Thunderbirds come into the contest with a record of 2-6.
In their next game, the TBA play the Hillcrest Hawks (Country Club Hills, IL) in a South Suburban contest, on Thursday, May 12. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to move on its 8-15 season record. The Hawks come into the contest with a 0-15 record after their 15-0 league loss to Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL).
