Keene Blackbirds (Keene, NH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Spaulding Red Raiders (Rochester, NH), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Blackbirds now own a 3-17 record. They take the field next when they travel to Portsmouth for a Division I challenge on Friday, May 13.

With the loss, Spaulding falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Londonderry (Londonderry, NH) to battle the Lancers in a Division I challenge on Friday, May 13. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 19-3. Londonderry won 10-1 in their recent league challenge against Alvirne (Hudson, NH)
