Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lincoln-Way West Warriors (New Lenox, IL), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lemont HS now own a 20-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Charles North for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 14. Lemont will battle a North Stars squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The North Stars record now stands at 16-3.

With the loss, Lincoln-Way West falls to 14-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Stagg (Palos Hills, IL) to battle the Chargers in a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Thursday, May 12. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 4-11. Stagg lost 6-4 in their recent league challenge against Bradley-Bourbonnais (Bradley, IL)
