Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) and the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), witnessed Orange County's softball squad prevail over Monticello by a count of 10-0.

The Fighting Hornets now sport a 16-0 record. They play next when they travel to Goochland for a Jefferson match on Tuesday, May 17. Orange County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Monticello moves to 7-5 on the season. The Mustangs host Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA) to face the Warriors in a Jefferson match on Tuesday, May 17. The Warriors go into the match with a record of 3-9. Western Albemarle lost 12-6 in their recent league match against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
