The Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans crushed the visiting Monmouth United Red Storm baseball team by a count of 9-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 27-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Illini West for a non-league bout on Friday, May 12. Bushnell-Prairie City will face a Chargers team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 15-13.
