In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Smyrna Eagles soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Delmar Wildcats.
The Eagles (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE). The Riders come into the Henlopen North battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Caesar Rodney nudged Lake Forest (Felton, DE), 3-0, in a non-league outing.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Seaford Bluejays (Seaford, DE) in a Henlopen South outing, on Friday, May 12. Delmar will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record. The Bluejays go into the outing with a 0-8 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Polytech (Woodside, DE).
