Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME), 15-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gray-New Gloucester for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20.

With the loss, Mt. Ararat falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME) to battle the Clippers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Clippers enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Yarmouth lost 17-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Region (Naples, ME)
