Arlington Catholic Cougars (Arlington, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Haverhill Hillies (Haverhill, MA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Shawsheen Valley Tech for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12.

With the loss, Haverhill falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hillies host Tewksbury Memorial (Tewksbury, MA) to face the Redmen in a Merrimack Valley - Conf 2 challenge on Monday, May 15. The Redmen enter the challenge with a record of 9-4. Tewksbury Memorial won 3-2 in their recent league challenge against North Andover (North Andover, MA)
