St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Sartans now own a 19-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Artesia for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. St. Pius X will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-2 non-league win over Valley (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 20-7.

With the loss, Bloomfield falls to 14-15 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 11. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 17-10. Bernalillo won 13-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
