Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bremen Braves (Midlothian, IL), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Astros now own a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they host Evergreen Park for a South Suburban challenge on Monday, May 15. Shepard will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Barrington (Barrington, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 19-7.

With the loss, Bremen falls to 8-16 on the campaign. The Braves host Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL) to face the Red Wolves in a South Suburban - Blue challenge on Monday, May 15. The Red Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 16-14. Thornton Fractional South won 8-3 in their recent league challenge against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL)
