Owen Valley Patriots (Spencer, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Shakamak Lakers (Jasonville, IN), 15-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they host Eastern Greene for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. Owen Valley will battle a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to South Knox (Vincennes, IN). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Shakamak falls to 5-15 on the campaign. The Lakers host Greencastle (Greencastle, IN) to battle the Tiger Cubs in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 12. The Tiger Cubs enter the challenge with a record of 11-12. Greencastle lost 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Sullivan (Sullivan, IN)
