The Thornwood Thunderbirds baseball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Hillcrest Hawks to 5 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds (11-11) will now prepare for their match against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Blazing Trojan go into the Southland match with a 14-9 record. In their last match, Bloom was overwhelmed by Andrew (Tinley Park, IL), 16-0, in a non-league match.

The Hawks (1-21) will now prepare for their match against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL). The Meteors go into the South Suburban - Blue match with a 4-24 record. In their last match, Thornton Fractional North was overwhelmed by Reavis (Burbank, IL), 25-1, in a league match.
