The Byron Bears the host St. Anthony Village Huskies softball squad by a count of 6-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Bears (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Stewartville (Stewartville, MN). The Tigers go into the Hiawatha Valley battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Stewartville nudged Cannon Falls (Cannon Falls, MN), 1-0, in a league battle.
The Huskies now sport a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a non-league battle on Monday, May 13. St. Anthony Village will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Brainerd (Brainerd, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 8-11.
