The Central Valley Academy Thunder softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights to 1 in the Thunder non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Central Valley Academy moves its record to 10-4 on the year. The Thunder host Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY) to clash with the Red Devils in a Section 3 Tri-Valley game on Monday, May 13. The Red Devils come into the game with a record of 0-14. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill lost 22-1 in their recent league game against Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY)

In their next game, the Maroon Knights clash with the Westmoreland Bulldogs (Westmoreland, NY) in a Section 3 Center State II game, on Monday, May 13. Frankfort-Schuyler will attempt to move on its 4-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 8-5 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Oriskany (Oriskany, NY).
