The Centralia Orphans softball team scored 21 runs and limited the host Highland Bulldogs to 4 in the Orphans non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Centralia moves its record to 12-11 on the year. The Orphans travel to Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL) to clash with the Red Devils in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 14. The Red Devils come into the game with a record of 21-8. Murphysboro won 17-4 in their recent non-league game against Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 13. Highland will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record. The Rams come into the game with a 14-17 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Carterville (Carterville, IL).
