In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Mankato East Cougars softball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Farmington Tigers.
Coming up next, the Cougars battle the Austin Packers (Austin, MN) in a Big 9 outing, on Tuesday, May 14. Mankato East will attempt to upgrade on its 13-5 season record.
The Tigers (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeville North (Lakeville, MN). The Panthers enter the South Suburban Conference outing with a 6-9 record. In their last outing, Lakeville North by Rosemount (Rosemount, MN), 9-0, in a league outing.
