Park Rapids Panthers (Park Rapids, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fergus Falls Otters (Fergus Falls, MN), 9-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Perham for a Mid-State challenge on Saturday, May 11. Park Rapids will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Barnesville (Barnesville, MN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Fergus Falls falls to 6-10 on the campaign. The Otters host Rocori (Cold Spring, MN) to battle the Spartans in a Central Lakes challenge on Tuesday, May 14. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 14-1.
