The New Lothrop Hornets softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Freeland Falcons to 1 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, New Lothrop moves its record to 16-5 on the year. The Hornets travel to Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI) to clash with the Marauders in a Mid-Michigan game on Monday, May 13. The Marauders come into the game with a record of 5-16. Ovid-Elsie lost 11-1 in their recent league game against Lakeville (Otisville, MI)

In their next game, the Falcons clash with the Lake Fenton Blue Devils (Linden, MI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 11. Freeland will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record.
