In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) softball team held off the visiting Lancaster Flying Arrows (Lancaster, WI), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Mineral Point moves its record to 17-2 on the year. The Pointers travel to Iowa-Grant (Livingston, WI) to play the Panthers in a SWAL contest on Monday, May 13. In their next game, the Flying Arrows play the Waterloo Pirates (Waterloo, WI) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 11. Lancaster will attempt to move on its 9-9 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 12-7 record after their 13-3 league win over Cambridge (Cambridge, WI).
