Kentucky High School Softball - Martin County bounces Powell County

The Martin County Cardinals (Inez, KY) softball routed the visiting Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), 15-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Cardinals (8-12) will now prepare for their bout against Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Hornets go into the District 57 bout with a 8-9 record. In their last bout, Magoffin County was routed by Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY), 13-1, in a non-league bout.
The Pirates now possess a 5-11 record. They play next when they host Clay County for a non-league bout on Saturday, May 11. Powell County will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Breathitt County (Jackson, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 12-17.
