Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI), 13-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 13-2 record. They take the field next when they host Portage Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 11.

With the loss, Mattawan falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Gull Lake (Richland, MI) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 7-3.
