The DuQuoin Indians baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Murphysboro Red Devils to 1 in the Indians non-league win on Monday.

The Indians now own a 21-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sparta for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 12. DuQuoin will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-0 league win over Red Bud (Red Bud, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-7.

With the defeat, Murphysboro drops to 4-20 on the year. The Red devils host Nashville (Nashville, IL) to play the Hornets in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 13. The Hornets go into the test with a record of 23-3. Nashville won 6-4 in their recent league test against Benton (Benton, IL)
