The Litchfield Purple Panthers baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Pleasant Plains Cardinals to 4 in the Purple Panthers non-league victory on Thursday.
The Purple Panthers (3-17) will now prepare for their match against Southwestern (Piasa, IL). The Piasa Birds go into the South Central match with a 17-12 record. In their last match, Southwestern was overwhelmed by Greenville (Greenville, IL), 4-2, in a league match.
The Cardinals (15-17) will now prepare for their match against Rochester (Rochester, IL). The Rockets go into the non-league match with a 16-11 record. In their last match, Rochester was overwhelmed by Washington (Washington, IL), 7-5, in a non-league match.
