The West Islip Lions lacrosse team scored 10 points and held the host Smithtown West to 8 in the Lions league win on Thursday.
The Lions (7-8) will now prepare for their game against Westhampton Beach (Westhampton Beach, NY). The Hurricanes go into the non-league game with a 11-5 record. In their last game, Westhampton Beach nudged Port Jefferson (Port Jefferson, NY), 18-3, in a league game.
