The Spooner Rails softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Cameron Comets to 2 in the Rails non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Spooner moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Rails host Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (Chetek, WI) to play the Bulldogs in a Heart O' North game on Tuesday, May 17. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 1-5.

In their next game, the Comets play the St. Croix Falls Saints (St. Croix Falls, WI) in a Lakeland - North game, on Tuesday, May 17. Cameron will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Saints come into the game with a 8-4 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Prescott (Prescott, WI).
