Linton-Stockton Miners (Linton, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Eastern Greene Thunderbirds (Bloomfield, IN), 9-1 in a league challenge.

The Miners now sport a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sullivan for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. Linton-Stockton will face a Golden Arrows squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Bedford North Lawrence (Bedford, IN). The Golden Arrows record now stands at 20-4.

With the loss, Eastern Greene falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to South Knox (Vincennes, IN) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 11-8. South Knox won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Northeast Dubois (Dubois, IN)
