Tippecanoe Valley Vikings (Akron, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Marion Giants (Marion, IN), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jimtown for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 14. Tippecanoe Valley will face a Jimmies squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to La Porte (La Porte, IN). The Jimmies record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Marion falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Giants travel to Jay County (Portland, IN) to face the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 16. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 12-7. Jay County won 13-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Hagerstown (Hagerstown, IN)
