St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT), 9-5 in a league challenge.

The Cadets now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host McMahon for a Fairfield County challenge on Saturday, May 14. St. Joseph will battle a Senators squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Trumbull (Trumbull, CT). The Senators record now stands at 10-6.

With the loss, Ridgefield falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Westhill (Stamford, CT) to battle the Vikings in a Fairfield County challenge on Monday, May 16. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Westhill lost 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Danbury (Danbury, CT)
