Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Acton-Boxborough Colonials (Acton, MA), 4-1 in a league test.
With the win, Newton South upgrades its record to 9-6 on the season. The Lions host Weston (Weston, MA) to play the Wildcats in a Dual County contest on Wednesday, May 17. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 11-3. Weston won 22-13 in their recent league contest against Concord-Carlisle (Concord, MA)
The Colonials now sport a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they host Lowell for a non-league contest on Monday, May 15.
