The Somers Spartans baseball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Hale Ray Noises to 5 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.
The Spartans (7-9) will now prepare for their match against Stafford (Stafford Springs, CT). The Bulldogs go into the North Central Connecticut match with a 10-7 record. In their last match, Stafford edged East Hampton (East Hampton, CT), 5-2, in a non-league match.
The Noises (3-15) will now prepare for their match against Windham RVT (Willimantic, CT). The Mighty Tigers go into the non-league match with a 11-6 record. In their last match, Windham RVT edged Prince RVT (Hartford, CT), 15-0, in a league match.
