In Friday's non-league game, the host Washington Panthers baseball team scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Kaneland Knights.
The Panthers (22-9) will now prepare for their game against Morton (Morton, IL). The Potters go into the Mid-Illini game with a 20-10 record. In their last game, Morton was overwhelmed by East Moline United (East Moline, IL), 9-8, in a non-league game.
The Knights (16-12) will now prepare for their game against Normal West (Normal, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 12-14 record. In their last game, Normal West tipped Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL), 9-2, in a league game.
